FAQ
Answers to the most common questions.
How does enrolment work?
Enrolment is valid for a full season, from September to June, and must be renewed each year. There are three options: Basic (€20), with access to all classes at the standard rate; Family (€5 discount, for first-degree relatives enrolling at the same time); and Club (€55), which includes discounts on monthly fees, class packages and drop-in classes.
How do class packages work?
Class packages are the most flexible option if you can't attend regularly. They come in 6, 12 and 18 hours, are counted by hours (not by classes), and are valid for 2 months from purchase. No enrolment required, but advance booking is needed, at least 24h ahead (at the front desk or via WhatsApp, confirmed by management). They can be transferred to someone else if you let us know beforehand, and don't guarantee a spot if not booked.
How do drop-in classes work?
Designed for occasional attendance: 1h, 1h30 or 2h, always with advance booking. Since these are ongoing training classes, we recommend confirming the level before signing up. Students with a monthly plan get priority over class packages and drop-ins.
How does the free trial class work?
It's designed for anyone who wants to try a style or teacher they haven't experienced before. If you decide to join that group after trying it, that first class is included in your monthly fee; if you decide not to join, the trial is free. All trials must be booked in advance.
What are the galas?
One of the most important moments of the season: the chance to share a whole year's work on a professional stage. We hold two galas a year — one in February and another in June, closing the season — in venues like FIBES or Cartuja Center.
How do levels and ages work?
Levels
At SDC our classes are organised by level: beginner, intermediate and advanced.
- If you've never trained in that style before, you'll need to start at beginner level.
- If you already have prior training or experience, you may access other levels based on your background.
- The teacher will assess whether you're at the right level and may recommend a group change if they consider it's best for your learning and progress.
Ages
- Kids · 6 to 10 years old: students in this age range must always attend the specific Kids groups.
- Youth · 10 to 14 years old: we have Youth groups adapted to this stage.
- General groups · 14+ years old: organised mainly by level rather than age.
What if a Youth student wants to join a general group?
At SDC we believe in mixing ages, experiences and profiles in the classroom — it can really enrich the learning experience, as long as the student adapts well to the group's level, pace and dynamic. Because of this, a Youth student may access certain general groups — for example, if the Youth groups are full or they're looking for another training option — but always under the teacher's supervision and judgement. It's the teacher who determines whether the student is ready and fits well with the selected group. Age helps us organise our groups, but from the Youth stage onward it isn't the only criterion: we want every student to find a space where they can learn, grow and enjoy themselves, while always looking after the group's smooth running and progress.
How do sign-ups work?
You'll need to visit the front desk to check availability, levels and prices, bring a phone to download the official app (TIMP) where documents are signed, and pay the enrolment fee plus the first month to secure your spot. If the student is a minor, we recommend they come with an adult to sign the paperwork.
How are payments made?
We accept cash, card and bank transfer. Monthly fees cover the 1st to the last day of the month and must be paid between the 1st and the 10th; late payments incur a penalty.
What do I need to bring to class?
Comfortable workout clothes, a bottle of water and plenty of enthusiasm for dancing.
Are there changing rooms and showers?
Yes, we have restrooms, changing rooms and showers.
What are the front desk hours?
